Arranging your Bearsted visit
If you are organising a Bearsted visit for someone else, use an email address you can check and make sure the person knows James will need to speak with them about their ears.
Choose a preferred time online. James checks the visit address and travel, then confirms by email. Allow 45 minutes for the visit; another 45 minutes is kept free afterwards for travel. No payment is taken online.
Monday–Friday 9am–8pm, Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 10am–5pm, subject to availability.
What happens at home
James discusses your hearing and ear history, examines both ears, and chooses a suitable approach. Equipment for microsuction, warm water irrigation and manual removal is brought to the visit. You receive advice afterwards.
Call first for anyone under 18, ear pain or discharge, a suspected infection, a perforated eardrum, grommets, previous surgery or medical concerns. For sudden hearing loss, contact an urgent GP service or NHS 111 rather than waiting for a wax-removal appointment.
