For sudden hearing loss, hearing getting worse over days or weeks, or hearing loss with earache or discharge, ask for an urgent GP appointment or contact NHS 111. Do not wait for a wax-removal booking.

Please call James first for anyone under 18, an ear infection, ear pain or discharge, a perforated eardrum, grommets, previous ear surgery, or medical conditions or medicines you need to discuss.

You can choose not to use online booking. Call James to discuss how your information would be handled before sharing health details.

What happens at your visit

  1. A conversation first

    James asks about your hearing and any concerns before examining your ears.

  2. An ear examination

    Your ears are checked before choosing the appropriate removal method for you.

  3. Treatment and a recheck

    James brings the equipment for microsuction, warm water irrigation and manual removal, and checks your ears after treatment.

£75 for one or both ears. Payment is after your visit.
